I've been doing 30 Days of Thankfulness on Facebook and my personal blog. Today, I wanted to make sure I shared it here, as well!

Day 22: Today I am thankful for my wonderful "customers" who have become some great friends! While our relationships might have started out because of my business, I am so very glad that you are now friends! You really do mean a lot to me and have added so much to my life! ♥

Today a very dear friend called to wish me a Happy Thanksgiving, who I originally met because of Close To My Heart. She has become such an inspirational part of my life and has helped me through some challenging times and helped me to see some things that I hadn't seen before, both personally and professionally! She is truly a blessing in my life! ♥

Hi there, everyone! I just wanted to post a quick note to say "Thank You" to Jennifer Aquino with Mary Kay and Becky Kilgore with Pampered Chef for coming over for the Vendor Fair. We had lots of fun chatting and I was happy to spend time getting to know you both better this weekend! We had so much fun, we're doing it again on 3 Dec from 6-9 PM and will be adding Scentsy and possibly more, so I hope some of you can join us again! I'll post more information soon!

In the mean time, here is the SUPER CUTE gift tag that we made this weekend! They do a small awards presentation for the group that attends and I was honored to received the highest Team Sales for the quarter. Thanks so much to my team, as they are the reason I was shockingly blessed with this award! The Angel Bay Crafting Hearts team was #1 in Team Sales for size 16-29 for Third Quarter 2011 for those in attendance at the Detroit Regional Celebration. Materials needed:

Love Life stamp set - D1482

Dreamin' Level 2 Paper Pack - x7142B

Designer Ribbon - Red Collection - Z1615

Pewter Mini Medley Accents - Z1487

Chocolate Ink Pad - Z2111

Cranberry Ink Pad - Z2116

Cricut Art Philosophy Cartridge - Z1686

Wishes Card Confidence Program - 9033

Preparation:

Cut large and medium stars using AP Cartridge

Cut 5 1/4" x 4" brown B&T, 4" x 3" orange B&T, 2 3/4" x 2 3/4" and 1/4" x 3" chocolate CS

Cut goldrush CS to 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" for base and fold to create 5 1/2" x 4 1/4" card with fold on left edge

Stamp small flourish twice with Chocolate ink on 2 3/4" x 2 3/4" Chocolate CS

Stamp large and medium stars with Cranberry ink on pre-cut star shapes

Putting card together:

1. Attach 5 1/4" x 4" brown B&T paper to center of card front.

2. Using 3-D foam tape, attach 2 3/4" x 2 3/4" chocolate CS to 4" x 3" orange B&T paper 1/8" from top and left edges.

3. Thread 1/4" x 3" chocolate CS through button slide and attach centered on 3" length of pleated ribbon. Attach along bottom of 4" x 3" orange B&T paper.

4. Attach finished 4" x 3" piece to center of brown B&T paper.

5. Attach stamped stars to 2 3/4" x 2 3/4" chocolate CS using 3-D foam tape.

Vendor Fair update...and a piece of artwork!

we are confirmed for a Mary Kay consultant at the event next weekend. So, as of today that gives us Close To My Heart, Pampered Chef, Thrivent Financial for Lutherans, and Mary Kay. I'm still awaiting confirmation for Scentsy and Premier Jewelry. Again, we will be here from 6-9PM on Fri 11 Nov, Veteran's Day, and 9-12 AM on Sat 12 Nov, followed by my monthly FREE crop from 5-11 Saturday night.

Now, here is another card that I made at Detroit Regionals last month. For now, I'm just posing a photo and will give you directions later. It's been a long busy weekend and I'm exhausted, but want to at least give you something new to look at!

Just thought I'd give you all a heads up now that I am planning to host a weekend crop during the weekend of 3-5 Feb 2012 at the Texas Scrapbook Cabin in Seguin. It's a brand new retreat facility opening up in 2012. The website is currently under construction at http://www.tscretreats.com and you will be able to contact the owner. I will post further information and details as they are available, but I hope you can join us for a fun-filled weekend of scrapbooking and stamping!

Typeset Workshop... 6PM Wed 16 Nov

Good evening, everyone! I wanted to let you know about my next workshop that I'll be doing on the 16th at 6PM here at the house. It is the Typeset Workshop on the Go on Pg. 19 in the Fall/Winter 2011 Idea Book.

We will be using the Cricut Art Philosophy Collection with this workshop, so if you have been wanting to see it, but haven't yet, this is the PERFECT time for you to join us! I need to know by Tues, 8 Nov if you are interested in attending so I can be sure to have enough workshop kits on hand and will also need to receive payment with your RSVP. So, I had lunch today with a dear friend who made me do some thinking! (Thanks so much for the inspiration I needed Isabel!!!) It has caused me to re-think how I'm interacting with all of you on my blog. So, I'm really going to make a better effort to start doing daily posts, or at least every other day with small tid-bits and start sharing more artwork. I've been sitting at the table creating all afternoon since I left her and am going to jump right in! Some of the artwork I'll be sharing this month is also from the Close To My Heart Regional Celebration that I just attended at the end of Oct. and I just needed to do some finishing touches on it. So, this first card that I'm going to post is one of those...I hope you like it! (Note - the colors aren't exact in the first pic, I guess due to lighting...not sure what was wrong. The second photo is fine. Sorry! You can see the papers in the links with the list of supplies!)

Items Used to Create this 5 1/4" x 4 1/4" Card:

Wishes Card Confidence Program - Item # 9033 (Gallery, Pg 119 - rotated 90 deg.)

Love Life My Acrylix Stamp Set - Item # D1482

Joyful Jar My Acrylix Stamp Set - Item # B1393

Dreamin' Level 2 Paper Packet - Item # X7142B

Glitz Glitter Gel - Bronze - Item # Z1483

Mini-Medley - Pewter - Item # Z1487

Milepost Shapes - Item # Z1464

3-D Foam Tape - Item # Z1151

Cricut Art Philosophy (AP) Collection - Item # Z1686

Preparation:

1. Cut leaf, tag, and frames from AP cartridge.

2. Cut 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" card, 3 1/2" x 4" piece B&T and 2" x 4" Chocolate CS.

3. Apply Glitz Glitter to leaf and Milepost Circle and set aside to dry.

4. Fold orange B&T in half to form 5 1/2" x 4 1/4 " card base with fold on left edge.

5. Attach two Bigger Brads to top right corner of brown B&T paper and attach brown B&T to card front 3/8" from top and left edges.

6. Attach Chocolate CS to card front 5/8" from left edge and flush with top.

7. Stamp the following with Chocolate ink:

~ "Sending you" sentiment on card front immediately below brown B&T

~"happiness" sentiment on large ticket shape, using masking technique

8. Attach brad and small ribbon slide to Milepost circle.

9. Using 3-D foam tape between layers, attach Bamboo and Goldrush frames.

10. Attach Milepost circle to bottom left corner of frames.

Putting the card together:

1. Using 3-D foam tape, attach layered frame to card front 1" from top and left edges.

2. Attach "happiness" ticket centered on inside of card base.

3. Attach glitter leaf to center of frame with 3-D foam tape.

Let me know if you have any questions or if you'd like to order any of these items to make your own cards! The great thing is that all of these items can then be used for LOTS of other projects, especially the AWESOME AP cartridge!!!

Cardstock: If you love the 24 packs of one color, many colors are going..going...Gone! Prices will go up to $14.50 per pack. I recommend buying your favorites even though some colors (mostly neutrals & fall colors) will still be available in packs of 24. Some colors may rotate with the seasons, but we have no way of knowing until the new Idea Books come out each season. So if you love New England Ivy for Christmas or Outdoor Denim, buy it now. If you love Cranberry or Olive, it will still be available but at the higher price of $14.50.

Hey there y'all! It's been a while since I updated my blog, but I'm hoping to be much better now that I am nearly (31 Jul) officially retired from the Army. I just returned from CTMH's annual convention at Disneyland and there is A LOT of exciting news to share with you all! I think the thing that got the most consultants excited was the announcement of our very own exclusive Cricut Cartridge! With 700 images: font, shapes and 3-D items that can be cut in up to 46 sizes it gives you 32,200 possibilities! Guess it's time for me to get a Cricut and get busy!!!
